The 3 Step Live Aid Formula To Beat Anxiety

It's great to see celebrations around 40 years of Live Aid and the amazing work Bob Geldof, his team and the public have done to save so many lives.

I can hear you thinking, How does this help with anxiety? Let me explain.

As I work with anxiety clients, I often mention the inspirational story of Live Aid and Bob Geldof.

I tell my anxiety clients that his autobiography is one of the books that made me cry as I read it, many years ago.

It details his childhood, his career and how he felt so strongly that something needed to be done to help the starving people in Africa.

It goes on to share the decision he made to take some action, although he hadn't got much of an idea at first of what to do or how to do it.

The 3-Step Live Aid Formula To Beat Anxiety.

Step 1. That important, life-changing step is to decide to find a way.

Step 2. We then need to find the right help to guide us in achieving our goal and trusting the process.

Step 3. Working together, we take the action until the job is done.

The mistake many of us make is that we see ourselves as strong people who don't need any help.

The truth is, all goals are much easier when we find the right people to help us with our mission.

The most successful people I work with find others to help them do things faster and better.

By watching the wonderful Live Aid documentary on BBC iPlayer, you will see Bob Geldof follow this formula.

Step 1. He made that decision to help those starving people.

Step 2. He knocked on many doors and demanded that they helped.

Step 3. He worked together with others until each goal was completed.

Bob knew the situation in Africa wouldn't get better on its own, and anxiety is exactly the same.

Typically, it gets worse unless we take some action, find some help and look for ways to improve the situation.
