The Fastest Way To Beat Anxiety

The Fastest Way To Beat Anxiety And Depression

October 25, 20255 min read

A regular question that I hear from therapists, doctors and those with anxiety disorders is “What is the fastest way to beat anxiety and depression?”

There are many therapies claiming to help with mental health issues such as anxiety and depression.
Some are more effective than others, and here we will discuss the best way to ELIMINATE issues rather than just reducing them, as often the problems become worse over time.

New Model Therapy V Old Model Therapy

The old model of therapy is great for therapists and not so great for the client.
Why, you may ask?

The old model, which is still very popular today, typically involves the client attending dozens of sessions over time, usually in blocks of 8 or 12 and repeated over time.

During these sessions, the client will go over the anxiety and or depression issues many times, exploring why they have the problem, how the problem affects them and those around them, etc.

This is great for the therapist, as this model creates a regular, long-term client, making slow improvements (if any) over a long period of time

As a result, the client initially spends smaller amounts on each therapy session, and as there are many more of them, they spend much more over time.

Another big downside for the client, according to recent neuroscience research, is that the repeated process of going over the anxiety or depression problem strengthens the unwanted neural pathway, resulting in the unwanted mental behaviour or habit becoming a bigger problem.

This explains why many of our clients claim previous rounds of CBT, counselling or talking therapy make the anxiety or depression worse.

The new model of therapy is better for the client and not so good for the therapist.
Let’s look deeper.

The new model is becoming more popular, and ethically it is far better for the client.

Rather than constantly going over the past, once the problem has been understood, the therapist uses modern techniques to reduce and then stop the problem behaviours and habits of depression and anxiety.

The focus then shifts to what the client would rather experience instead.
Usually, the client will choose to feel calm, relaxed, happy, confident and in control rather than anxious or depressed.

The therapist will then teach modern techniques to help the client move into these new states and set homework to allow this process to evolve quickly.

The benefit for the client is that this process typically works to eliminate anxiety and depression much faster, usually in 4 to 6 weeks.

This drastically reduces the costs involved and gives the clients a toolbox of techniques they can use to improve their lives in many ways.

Which Method Is Better For You?

When making your decision, the questions you may want to ask yourself are.

What do I want instead of my anxiety and depression?
Naturally, most people will respond to not being this and to not experiencing that.
The answers your therapist is looking for are the positives of not experiencing anxiety and depression, as there needs to be some positive benefits to come out of your problems.

These could be calm, relaxed, happy in control or confident.
Take a moment to make a mental note of what you want instead of anxiety or depression.

When I have eliminated my anxiety and depression, what will this allow me to do?
Again, we need to focus on the benefits of eliminating your issues.
Many past clients go on to do much better with their work or business. They enjoy pay rises, better relationships and find they are happier in life.

Do I want to sort my anxiety and depression quickly or slowly?
Some people are a little afraid of change and the new model allows you to do things at your pace.
Anxiety and depression can be rather painful and make life uncomfortable.
Working to improve and eliminate your problems faster can quickly improve your quality of life and avoid your issues becoming worse and more expensive.

What Are The Therapy Differences Between The Models?

The older model typically uses CBT, counselling or talking therapies.
These are cheaper per session and work out more expensive over time.

The new model focuses on neuroscience techniques, including clinical hypnotherapy, NLP and coaching.
These work out slightly more expensive per session, and as the number of sessions is greatly reduced, this works out significantly cheaper over time.

Typically, with clients who have tried the old model first, they spend years in therapy, not resolving their issues.
When they move to the new model, they typically resolve the issues in 4 to 6 weeks, eliminating their issues for good.

How To Get Started With The New Model?
